Ingredients
  1. 1c Forbidden Rice (Black Rice)
  2. 1c Water
  3. 1c Fresh Orange Juice
  4. 1/2 Fresh Vanilla Pod
  5. 1 Fresh Papaya, 1/2" cube
  6. 1 Fresh Mango, 1/2" cube
  7. 1T Honey
Instructions
  1. Cook rice per instructions. Vary the water, if needed. Split vanilla pod in half with a pairing knife and scrape the seeds from one side and put them in with the rice to cook. You can also include the empty pod, which you will discard once the rice is cooked. Place the rice on a sheet pan to cool in the refrigerator.
  2. As the rice is cooking dice the papaya and mango and set aside.
  3. Once rice has cooled, add the papaya and mango to the rice with the honey. Serve and Enjoy!
Notes
  1. Will hold well for several days in the refrigerator.
