I know…. I know…. you’re telling yourself that you will never try it because it’s GREEN! It was a little difficult for me to take that first sip too, but after I did, I was hooked. I promise you that you will not even taste the kale. It is now a staple in our home and it’s my “go-to” smoothie drink for maybe after exercising or a midday snack. I LOVE IT! And, I believe you will too! Just try it….
- 1 Banana (Frozen, cut in pieces)
- 1.5 Apple (any variety, but not Green)
- 1 wedge Lemon
- 1/2" Fresh Ginger
- 2 c Fresh Kale
- Freeze pieces of banana prior to preparation. Juice (in mechanical juicer) apple, lemon, and ginger. Add frozen banana pieces to blender. Cut leafy part of the kale away from stem. Add leafy kale to the blender with bananas. Pour juice over bananas and kale in blender. Blend on high until mixture becomes a gorgeous solid green color. Prepare to do this over and over after you find yourself craving it.
